Travel to Mt. Wellington and walk through a Winter Wonderland
It wouldn’t be winter without snow. To experience a winter wonderland in Tasmania all you have to do is travel to Mt. Wellington. Located about 20 minutes from Hobart, Mt. Wellington will provide you with the opportunity to go sledding, skiing or just build a snowman.
Visit the Museum of Old and New Art (Mona)
Mona is located within the Moorilla winery on the Berriedale peninsula in Hobart. Some eleven kilometres north of Hobart, Tasmania—approximately twenty-five minutes by ferry or twenty minutes by road.

Every Saturday (except Christmas Day or Anzac Day) from 8.00 am to 3.00 pm, Salamanca Place comes alive with the famous Salamanca Market. Salamanca Market is operated by Hobart City Council. Over 300 stallholders sell fresh and gourmet produce, arts, crafts and handiwork from all over Tasmania, interstate and overseas.
